Pigeons Playing Ping Pong

Few bands command a stage, or a crowd, quite like Baltimore’s Pigeons Playing Ping Pong. Driven by an infectious live energy and a relentless touring schedule spanning nearly two decades, the dynamic quintet—”Scrambled Greg” Ormont [vocals, guitar], Jeremy Schon [guitar, vocals], Ben Carrey [bass, vocals], Alex “Gator” Petropulos [drums, vocals], and new member Jon Brady [keys, vocals]—has built an undeniable reputation as one of the most electric live acts on the tour circuit today.

To experience Pigeons Playing Ping Pong live is to step into a high-octane celebration powered by soaring jams, infectious funk, and the unmatched energy of their devoted fanbase, The Flock. Their signature dynamic psychedelic funk sound, a seamless fusion of soaring guitar solos, danceable grooves, explosive rhythms, and exploratory jamming, turns every show into a unified, high-voltage dance party. “Making music and connecting with people feels like something we were born to do,” explains Ormont. “We have an unwavering commitment to keep evolving together.”

That evolution reached a major milestone when the band officially welcomed longtime collaborator Jon Brady as their newest official member. After enriching the group’s sonic textures with frequent guest appearances on stage and in the studio, Brady’s full integration was announced in unforgettable fashion via a surprise on-stage proposal during Domefest. The band’s annual music festival recently celebrated its biggest event yet at ACE Adventure Resort in New River Gorge, WV, showcasing a thriving, joyful community at its absolute peak.

While recent releases like their eighth studio album, Feed The Fire, capture their sharpened musicianship, exploratory arrangements, and collaborative spirit, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong remain a force best experienced in the wild. Refreshingly dynamic, irresistibly danceable, and forever fueled by their road-tested chemistry, they continue to ignite crowds and push their sonic boundaries from coast to coast. As Ormont sums it up best, “We’ve been given the gift of this passion. So it’s our responsibility to nurture it, embrace it, and spread it wild. Because when the band and fans reach new heights together, that’s where the real magic happens.”
