Box Office Assistant

Starting Rate: $16.25 per hour

The Box Office Assistant is responsible for supporting the Box Office Manager in all ticketing and related customer service functions for The Armory and Washington’s. This part-time, variable hour position is the first area of welcome for all guests and requires a high level of organization and customer service. This position will report to the Box Office Manager.

Minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Experience in customer service and/or guest relations
  • Detail oriented, with ability to work under pressure, and multitask
  • Experience with cash handling and cash management
  • Proficient in software applications including Microsoft Office suite
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule including late nights and weekends
  • A positive attitude and an eagerness to help and interact with people
  • A high value on integrity

Preferred qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a box office, the entertainment industry, hospitality, or related field
  • Experience in, and knowledge of, the live music industry
  • Experience working as a part of or closely with a non-profit organization.
  • Experience with ETix or other ticketing platforms
  • Bilingual

Bartender / Barback

Starting Rate: $14.81 + ability to earn tips

Bartenders/Barbacks are responsible for the service of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as well as light snacks while providing an unforgettable customer service experience at Washington’s. This part-time, variable hour position will report to the Operations Manager.

Minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Three (3) years of experience in the service industry or related field
  • One (1) year of experience in high volume bartending
  • Excellent cash handling skills and the ability to make quick and accurate calculations
  • Extensive beer, wine, liquor, and craft cocktail knowledge
  • TIPS Certification (Training for Alcohol Intervention Procedures)
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule that is primarily evenings, late nights, and weekends
  • Exemplify positivity with eagerness to help and interact with people
  • A high value on integrity
  • Proven interpersonal skills including communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure
  • Positive attitude and professional appearance

Preferred qualifications and experience:

  • Certification as a mixologist from a reputable bartending school
  • Experience in and knowledge of the live music industry
  • Experience with Toast POS
  • Bilingual

Audio Engineer

Starting Rate: $20 per hour

The Audio Engineer is responsible for the sound quality of an event. The primary responsibility of the Audio Engineer is to maintain the highest quality of production standards for acts performing at the venue. This part-time, variable hour position will report to the Production Lead.

Minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Eagerness to learn and accept direction.
  • Proven interpersonal skills including communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure.
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule including late nights and weekends.
  • A high value on integrity.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills, especially under pressure.
  • Ability to think under pressure and organize information to create an effective overall strategy for each show.

Preferred qualifications and experience:

  • One year audio engineering experience mixing live sound.
  • Experience working with talent.
  • Knowledge of audio frequencies and the equalization skills needed to tune a system.
  • Knowledge of digital console technologies and limitations.
  • Experience with a variety of audio systems, consoles, microphones, monitors, etc.
